Senior Backend Engineer(Go)

What you'll do

• Design, build, and scale distributed backend systems using Go and/or Java.
• Own critical platform services that power Atlan's metadata and data collaboration platform.
• Build highly reliable, low-latency APIs and data processing pipelines.
• Drive architecture decisions, technical design reviews, and engineering best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to deliver impactful features.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to a strong engineering culture focused on ownership and quality.
• Improve system observability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go, Java, or a similar backend language.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Experience designing APIs and working with event-driven architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with high ownership.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or modern cloud-native technologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
